Does the exported PDF have a watermark?

No. ToolAdda never adds a watermark to your resume. The PDF you download is yours — clean and professional.

Is the resume ATS-friendly?

The default ATS-safe template uses standard headings, single-column layout, real text (not images), and no photo by default — all best practices for Applicant Tracking Systems. The ATS sidebar scores your resume and flags issues.

Should I include a photo on my resume?

For US, UK, and most ATS systems, no — photos can cause parsing errors and bias filters. Photo is off by default. Enable it only if applying in countries where photos are expected.

PDF or Word — which should I submit?

Submit PDF unless the employer specifically asks for Word. PDF preserves formatting; our PDF uses real selectable text (not a screenshot) so ATS can read it. DOCX is also exported with real text if Word is required.

How do I fit my resume on one page?

Use the compact template, reduce font size and margins in Settings, shorten bullet points, and remove older or less relevant entries. The preview shows estimated page count and fit-to-one-page suggestions.

Can I import an existing resume?

Yes — upload a PDF or DOCX and ToolAdda will extract text and populate fields best-effort. You can then edit, reformat, and re-export.
