The files and text you put into a tool are processed in your own browser and never uploaded to us — we run no user database and no server-side storage. The site itself uses Google Analytics and Google AdSense, which set cookies; the sections below set out exactly what they see and how to opt out.

We never sell or rent your information. The only third parties involved are Google Analytics and Google AdSense, described below, plus PubChem when you choose to search it.

Your files and data never leave your device. We don't have databases storing your information.

What We Store Locally
- Theme Preference: Your light/dark mode choice is saved locally
- Temporary Files: When you crop or edit images, they're temporarily held in your browser RAM and automatically cleared
- Session State: Your navigation state and form inputs are stored temporarily during your session
Where It's Stored
All data is stored in your browser's local storage, IndexedDB, or session storage. It's kept on your device and never transmitted.
How to Clear It
You can clear all stored data anytime by clearing your browser's cache and cookies. This action is entirely within your control.
How We Protect You
📦 No Backend Servers
Since everything is client-side, there's no server to hack. Your data has nowhere to be stolen from.

We keep all dependencies and libraries up-to-date to ensure security patches are applied.
🔍 Open Source Approach
Our code is transparent. Anyone can review it to verify our security claims.
When You Contact Us
If you contact us via email, we receive your email address and message content. Here's how we handle it:

🏠 Hosting
Our website is hosted on a CDN. The hosting provider doesn't have access to your data since everything is processed locally.
📊 Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand page views, user behavior, and traffic patterns. Data is anonymized and you can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser extension.
💬 Communication
When you email us, your data is handled by our email provider with standard email security.
📢 Advertising
We use Google AdSense to keep the tools free. Google and its partners set cookies to serve and measure ads. Full details, including how to opt out, are in the Advertising section below.
🧪 Chemistry lookups
Only when you press Search PubChem in the 3D Molecular Structure Viewer, the name or code you typed is sent to PubChem, the free chemistry database of the US National Library of Medicine, to fetch that molecule's 3D structure. PubChem receives the request like any website visit, including your IP address, under the NIH's own privacy policy. Molecule files you open in the viewer are read in your browser and never uploaded.

About Google Analytics
ToolAdda uses Google Analytics to measure website traffic, understand user behavior, and improve our services. Here's what you need to know:

Data Retention
Google Analytics keeps your data for 26 months. After that, it's automatically deleted.
Advertising
ToolAdda is free to use and carries no paywall. Advertising is what pays for the hosting and the time that goes into building the tools. We use Google AdSense, and this section sets out exactly what that means for you.
Third-Party Vendors and Cookies
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on ToolAdda.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- Third-party vendors and ad networks other than Google may also serve ads on this site and may likewise use cookies.
- These advertising cookies are set by the ad vendor, not by ToolAdda, and are separate from the local storage the tools themselves use.
What Advertising Does Not Have Access To
The advertising system runs alongside the tools, never inside them. The files and text you process are never exposed to any ad vendor, because they are never uploaded anywhere in the first place — a PDF, a payslip, a passport photo or a private key stays inside your browser regardless of which ads are displayed.
How to Opt Out of Personalised Advertising
Option 1: Turn off personalised advertising in your Google account at Google My Ad Center. Ads will still appear, but they will not be based on your interests.
Option 2: Opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices (US) or youronlinechoices.com (EU).
Option 3: Decline advertising cookies in the consent banner shown on your first visit, or block third-party cookies in your browser settings.
Consent
Advertising cookies are set only after you accept — they are denied by default and stay denied unless you choose otherwise. Analytics runs from the first page view so we can see which tools people actually use, and you can switch it off by declining in the banner, which we then remember on this device. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the consent banner back.
Children
ToolAdda is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Ads served on the site are not personalised for anyone we have reason to believe is a child.
Your Rights Under GDPR and CCPA
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK (GDPR)
Our lawful basis for advertising cookies is your consent, which we ask for before any are set and which you can withdraw at any time. For basic, anonymised analytics we rely on legitimate interest in understanding which tools are used; declining in the banner switches it off. Because the tools run entirely in your browser and we operate no user database, we hold no personal data about you to access, correct, port or erase. The data that does exist sits with Google (analytics and advertising) and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. To exercise any of these, email hello@tooladda.online.
If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA)
We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We also do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising in exchange for money. Serving personalised ads through Google may be treated as "sharing" under the CPRA; if you would rather it did not happen, decline advertising cookies in the consent banner or opt out through the links in the Advertising section above.
You have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. ToolAdda offers the same tools, with no limits, whichever choice you make.
Data Transfers
Google processes analytics and advertising data on servers that may be outside your country, under its own safeguards and standard contractual clauses. ToolAdda itself transfers nothing, because it stores nothing.

Privacy Questions & Answers
Is my data really deleted when I clear my browser cache?
Yes. When you clear your browser cache, all local storage, cookies, and temporary files are permanently deleted from your device.
Do you use cookies?
We use essential cookies for browser functionality (like theme preference). Google Analytics also sets cookies to track anonymous usage patterns. You can disable these using browser extensions or privacy settings.
What about the files I upload?
Files you upload are processed entirely in your browser. They never reach our servers and are deleted automatically when you leave.
Can you see my data if I use ToolAdda?
No. Your data never leaves your device. We have no ability to see, access, or retrieve any of your data.
Are there any hidden trackers?
Nothing is hidden, but there are two third-party tags and you should know about both: Google Analytics for site statistics, and Google AdSense for the ads that pay for the hosting. Both are listed above, advertising cookies are set only if you accept them in the consent banner, and you can opt out of analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out extension.
Will you ever sell my data?
Never. We hold no user database, so there is nothing for us to sell. Showing Google ads may count as "sharing" under California law - the Advertising section above explains how to opt out of that.
What if laws require you to share data?
Any legal requests about analytics data would be directed to Google. We don't store personal data, so there's nothing personal to share.
Does Google Analytics track me across websites?
Google Analytics on ToolAdda only tracks your activity on our site. It doesn't create a cross-site profile unless you're signed into a Google account.

We may update this privacy policy occasionally. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date above and notify users of significant changes.
Two principles will not change: your files are processed on your device and never uploaded to us, and we never sell or rent your information. Advertising and analytics cookies are the one exception to “nothing is tracked”, and they are documented in full above.
