Analyze WhatsApp Chats Privately

WhatsApp's built-in export gives you a plain-text log of every message. ToolAdda's Chat Analyzer turns that file into rich statistics — who talks the most, when you're both active, favourite emojis, common words, and how fast each person replies — without uploading anything to the cloud.

How to export from WhatsApp

  1. Open the chat → tap (Android) or chat name (iOS)
  2. Choose Export chatWithout media
  3. Save or share the _chat.txt file
  4. Upload it here and click Analyze Chat
Is my chat uploaded to a server?

No. Parsing and all analytics run 100% in your browser using JavaScript. Your messages never leave your device.

iOS vs Android export format?

iOS uses brackets: [DD/MM/YYYY, HH:MM:SS] Name: message. Android uses dashes: DD/MM/YYYY, HH:MM - Name: message. Both are supported automatically.

Group chat support?

Yes. Every participant appears as a separate sender with their own message count, words, emojis, and response times.

What is response time?

When person B sends a message after person A, the time gap is counted as B's response time (within the selected window, default 24 hours). Averages and medians are shown per person and per pair.

Can I export the report?

Yes. Download a JSON summary with sender stats, top words, emojis, and activity data for your records.

Why zero messages detected?

Ensure you exported Without media as .txt. Try changing the date format setting if your device uses US MM/DD/YYYY dates.
